About me

I was the kid who took apart his video game console to see how it worked. I got in trouble for it, but I always got them back together — when you know a broken one isn't getting replaced, you get careful fast. From there I became the family IT guy: my parents, my brothers, sister, half my aunts and uncles. Everything around me was something to learn on.

Public service is the family business. My mom taught special education for 25 years and my dad gave about the same to the City of Lake Worth, so when I ended up at Northwest ISD I already understood the stakes. Five years there as a systems engineer, keeping a fast-growth district running, where being down during a school day simply wasn't an option. I moved to the vendor side because I wanted to see what other organizations were up against — and because it let me serve a lot more of them at once.

Now I design networking, security, and collaboration solutions for schools, cities, and campuses as a Customer Solutions Architect at Red River, and I'm aiming to do that work nationally. What I'm best at is meeting people where their understanding stops and closing the distance from there.

When I'm not working there's a home lab that never quite gets finished, two dogs named Dax and Kira, long dinners with my partner and family, a stack of books and late night games with my friends,

Customer Solutions Architect — Red River

Serve as a presales engineer aligned to a regional pool of sales representatives supporting SLED customers, with a strong focus on K-12 education.
Lead technical discovery sessions to understand current-state environments, business drivers, and future requirements.
Design and present scalable, secure infrastructure solutions spanning networking, wireless, collaboration, and cloud platforms.
Support cybersecurity initiatives, including network security architecture, access control, and secure connectivity solutions.
